Daisy Doodles NW
Our Services
At Daisy Doodles NW, we offer:
Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW)– A structured approach to helping children and young people explore their past, understand significant life events and develop a positive sense of identity.
Support for Foster and Adoptive Families – We provide guidance to carers and adoptive parents, helping them navigate the emotional impact of life story work.
Consultation and Training – We offer training and consultation services for professionals working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, separation, or loss.
Therapeutic Wellbeing Sessions – 1:1 therapeutic sessions to support children and young people in developing the skills they need to manage difficult emotions such as anxiety and anger. We will work together to identify what you and your child would like to improve. I will then create a supportive and tailored approach to meet your child's needs.
Our services are tailored to each child’s needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment where they can explore their history in a meaningful way.
How it Works:
Initial Consultation – We meet with carers and professionals to assess the child's needs and outline the TLSW process.
Building Trust – We create a safe and secure space where the child feels comfortable sharing their story.
Structured Sessions – Over 12-18 sessions, we help the child explore their past using discussions, creative activities, and therapeutic techniques.
Narrative Development– Together, we formulate a life story book that captures the child’s experiences in an age-appropriate, sensitive way.
Review & Reflection – The final stage ensures the child understands their story and can move forward with confidence and clarity.
Typically, TLSW consists of 12–18 fortnightly sessions. Sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each child.
Therapeutic Wellbeing Sessions last up to one hour, and the length of time we work together will depend on the individual needs of each child or young person.
